Paradise Dental is equipped with the latest technology. Utilizing his 25 years of dental experience, Dr. Castro has selected state-of-the-art equipment to ensure he can provide the most up-to-date and efficient service for his patients.
All Digital Patient Records

Have you ever had a medical or dental appointment when the staff was unable to locate your record? This situation happens all too often with paper records, but with digital patient records (including digital X-rays, photographs, charts and medical histories) we never lose a patient record. In fact, Dr. Castro can access patient records remotely, 24 hours a day, making it possible for him to consult with patients who have emergencies after office hours. And rest assured your private dental information is all password protected and safeguarded with state-of-the-art dental software protections and daily back-ups.

Digital X-rays

The biggest advantage of digital X-rays is they provide our patients with 75-85% less radiation exposure than conventional film X-rays. Also digital images can be projected on a monitor for you and our staff to reference during your treatment, and can be attached to your electronic insurance claims which leads to faster return times on insurance payments and less errors.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

If you or a family member has anxiety in the dental office, one of the ways we can relax you is by using Nitrous Oxide, which is commonly known as "Laughing Gas," during dental treatment or cleanings. Once the procedure is over, the effects of the gas disappear after approximately 5 minutes and you can even drive home without problems. Some of our younger patients who require fillings and other procedures where we need them to remain calm respond very well to nitrous oxide and may even enjoy their time at the dentist.

Intravenous Sedation

If you have a very high level of anxiety in the dental office, IV sedation is an alternative you may choose. During the procedure, you will be given medications intravenously which will make you feel relaxed and sleepy. You will not actually be asleep, however and Dr. Castro and his staff will be able to work on your teeth and you may not even remember the details of the experience as the drugs produce an amnesic effect. Intravenous sedation requires a special permit and is only granted to dentists who have completed the proper training and received appropriate credentials.  Dr.Castro completed 2 years of post-doctoral training and has successly sedated hundreds of patients in the past 18 years.

ZOOM! Teeth Whitening Light

The chairside light enhances the bleaching gels used for our in-office bleaching. Actual bleaching time is 45-60 minutes, but the time will fly by as you enjoy our chairside DVD.
Invisalign or "Invisible Braces"

Invisalign is technology where crooked teeth are moved with a series of clear hard plastic aligners that are worn 2 weeks at a time and are practically invisible. The aligners are worn at all times except for eating and brushing. This system is used for moderate crowding; Dr. Castro will let you know if your teeth would respond well to the treatment which is usually 12 months.

Soft Tissue Laser

When situations call for the removal or cutting of gum tissue, the soft tissue laser can easily perform the procedure and not cause bleeding.  In the past a scalpel was the tool of choice,  but with the soft tissue laser we get much better results.
